Round 2: Tech interview(45 were selected for tech interviews, there were no eliminations after tech interview)
Round 3: HR interview

Wipro

Around 65 people sat in WIPRO. The cut off was strictly 60%. Also no back logs was allowed. If however one had cleared them than it was acceptable.

The written people had around 50 questions. It was divided into 3 sections-English, Aptitude and Technical. There was separate cut off for each section. According to me English and Aptitude were relatively easy. Technical was quite tough. There were 2 questions on UNIX in technical. One question was on conversion of binary to decimal and One on Infix to Postfix. Apart from these, they were quite difficult. 31 people cleared the written exam.

After that there was Technical Interview. It lasted for 20-30 minutes for each person. Well a project was must for it. If you haven't than a project than you are surely out. Also a sincere advice to all aspirants for wipro as well as other companies, do C++ well. Only C language won't help you clear them. Also they usually ask for your favorite subject. For it do OS (operating systems) well because the questions asked are quite easy. Also just write only those things in your resume in which you have complete knowledge. 12 people finally cleared this technical interview.

After that there was HR interview. It was a cake walk. The lady was quite polite. They asked for the location preference. But keep in mind that you should say yes to anywhere they ask you to go. Don't just be reluctant to opt for Gurgaon since it is near your house. All the 12 people cleared the HR interview.

Final: 15 (for TI) <don't know for SPS>

Cutoff: 55 (upto two supplis allowed)

Procedure for TI

1. Written (elimination after this) - 45 minutes, 40 questions. Verbal and quantitative. Main thing was racing the clock, trying to get max questions done in the 45 minutes. No negative markings.
2. Group discussion - 30 minutes, supervised by a recruiter.
3. Group Presentation - Each team-member given 3 minutes to speak in front of a panel of 3 recruiters, then counter questioning where they try to trap you.
4. Personal Interview - 10 minutes approx. Lots of hypothetical questions were asked - most of them extremely tricky and quite difficult. A few simple HR questions were also asked.

The group discussion and presentation were the most important rounds, in my opinion.

Dunnhumby

The test had basic questions on series, IQ, quant and english. Apart from them there were questions on graphs from real dunnhumby case works. They were a little tricky to understand. In all 50 questions, to be done in 40 minutes.

Round 2:- Group case study
Teams of four to five were given a data pertaining to one of dunnhumby's clients and 4 questions were to be answered based on the data. The questions involved dealing with expanding customer base, marketing strategies etc. Group work was the key here apart from moving to a logical solution. 12 people were shortlisted for the final interviews.

Round 3:- Personal Interview
4 panels of two people each interviewed the shortlisted candidates. Questions related to how you approached the case study were asked initially. Questions on things mentioned on your resume were also discussed. Each interview lasted 30-45 minutes.

A word of advice to all people interested in sitting for non-technical companies. It may appear that non-technical companies ask for nothing but communication skills, my advice is to practice case studies. Its important to understand what is being asked and then speak rather than blabbering your way through the process. Do not in any case assume that a laid back attitude can get you through non-tech companies. That is what the company complained about after the case study round.
