Recruitment Procedure of Various Companies TCS Eligibility: 60% (open for all branches) Wipro Around 65 people sat in WIPRO. The cut off was strictly 60%. Also no back logs was allowed. If however one had cleared them than it was acceptable. The written people had around 50 questions. It was divided into 3 sections-English, Aptitude and Technical. There was separate cut off for each section. According to me English and Aptitude were relatively easy. Technical was quite tough. There were 2 questions on UNIX in technical. One question was on conversion of binary to decimal and One on Infix to Postfix. Apart from these, they were quite difficult. 31 people cleared the written exam. After that there was Technical Interview. It lasted for 20-30 minutes for each person. Well a project was must for it. If you haven't than a project than you are surely out. Also a sincere advice to all aspirants for wipro as well as other companies, do C++ well. Only C language won't help you clear them. Also they usually ask for your favorite subject. For it do OS (operating systems) well because the questions asked are quite easy. Also just write only those things in your resume in which you have complete knowledge. 12 people finally cleared this technical interview. After that there was HR interview. It was a cake walk. The lady was quite polite. They asked for the location preference. But keep in mind that you should say yes to anywhere they ask you to go. Don't just be reluctant to opt for Gurgaon since it is near your house. All the 12 people cleared the HR interview. HCL Around 55 people sat in HCL. The cut off was strictly 60%.. CSC Appeared Written : 70 odd aptitude then tech interview : projects, favourite subject, software engineering Deloitte Appeared: 200 Cutoff: 55 (upto two supplis allowed) Procedure for TI 1. Written (elimination after this) - 45 minutes, 40 questions. Verbal and quantitative. Main thing was racing the clock, trying to get max questions done in the 45 minutes. No negative markings. The group discussion and presentation were the most important rounds, in my opinion. PWC written test was easy,40 qs and 1 hour.apti + english (verbal +logic). E ValueServe Appeared: 200+ IOCL Eligibility: Open for electrical, mech and poly(CV shortlist) Yahoo!! Appeared: 100 DE Shaw Appeared: More than 100 Written test was pretty much a stress test. Total CTC I believe is around 8.06 lpa Maruti Eligibility: Open for electrical, mech and prod...cutoff was 55% CDOT (Center for Development of Telematics) C.Dot took 5 from ec ,3 from comp and do not know about rest of the brances. Oracle Cutoff: 70 Profile was testing, or you could say its euphemism "QA". Some people gave this a miss because of its profile. Shortlisting based on %age. All DRs with decent knowledge and awareness of computers were hired, rest of the DRs were not. Waiting list was not called upon as they met their target from the shortlisted 25. Fluor Daniel Eligibility: 60% (open for Civil, mech and prod) Finally selected: 7( 3 from civil, 4 from mech, 0 from prod). Round 2:- Group case study Round 3:- Personal Interview A word of advice to all people interested in sitting for non-technical companies. It may appear that non-technical companies ask for nothing but communication skills, my advice is to practice case studies. Its important to understand what is being asked and then speak rather than blabbering your way through the process. Do not in any case assume that a laid back attitude can get you through non-tech companies. That is what the company complained about after the case study round. SMARTCUBE Round 1: Written test consist of DI questions to be answered in 20 minutes. 134 sat for written Round 2: Shortilisted around 62-63 guys for GD round of 5 min. Round 3: Shortlisted 12 for the final round i.e. interview including an Essay writing. Finally Selected 3 Students. Package was 4.2 in hand |
